International Eco-Challenge 2013

Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) is organizing International Eco-Challenge 2013 which includes event comprising running, cycling and rafting, on Saturday, 17 August, 2013.

The challenge has a minimum requirement of 18 years old  and by paying a registration fee of Rs 2,500 (for local team) and US$ 100 (for foreign team) anyone can participate.


The challenge is a team based event that requires to form a group of five persons and run on the 6.5-kilometer track from Bhutkhel ground, Tokha to Pani Muhan. After running, the participants have to participate on cycling competition on the 14.5-kilometer track in the Nagarjun Shivapuri National Park and then they need to raft on 7.5-kilometer segment of Bagmati River until Gokarna – the finishing point of the event. The winning team will be awarded with a shield, gold medals, certificates and cash prize of Rs 100,000.

TAAN is organizing the team event with an aim of developing it as one of the popular adventure sporting events in the country.
