Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO) and Russian Center for Science and Culture jointly organized a program on April 11, 2013 to mark the “International Day of Cosmonautics” and “50th Anniversary of the first woman space mission by Valentina Tereshkova.”
The Russian Cosmonautics, Vladimir Jhanikov, said, “Nepal is the closest country from the universe. It can be easily identified from the space because of its high mountains including the tallest Mt. Everest.”
In the interaction program, the Russian Cosmonauts Valentina Tereshkova and Vladimir Jhanikov shared their experience on the universe.
