Kathmandu, Chaitra 6: A popular Nepali cine artist Arjun Karki, is all set to scale Mount Everest, the highest peak of the world. The chairman of the Film Artistes Association of Nepal- Nawal Khadka handed over Nepali flag and bade farewell to Karki amidst a programme organized at the Premises of Pashupati temple.
Khadka said, “Arjun Karki’s journey to Everest would be a historical one in the field of Nepalese film industry as no artist has ever made an achievement of scaling Everest.”
Karki has planned to complete his entire Everest journey on foot and return back to Kathmandu within 75 days.
Besides the national flag of Nepal, Karki will also carry flag of Film Artists Association and holy water from Bagmati River to the top of the Everest.
