Starwood Hotels and Resorts, one of the leading hotel and leisure companies in the world, and MIT Group Holdings Nepal, led by Shesh Ghale, a Non-Resident Nepali, have signed a deal to start a five-star hotel in Kathmandu on Monday, April 08, 2013.
The 225-room Sheraton Kathmandu Hotel is slated to open in February 2018. It will be located in Kantipath and will be within the walking distance of Thamel, Narayanhiti palace museum as well as many of the city’s attractions, businesses, and embassies.
“All amenities in the hotel will have signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper,” said Starwood.
According to MIT Group Holdings Nepal, the five-star hotel development project will cost around Rs 7 billion and the hotel will work as a business centre. The hotel will feature 225 guestrooms offering a full range of amenities, four food and beverage venues, a well equipped Business Center, the Sheraton Club and all other services of international standard.
Starwood Hotels and Resorts currently operate 34 hotels and resorts worldwide.
